Child Highlight: Daniela

A parent’s tragic illness is a common way that children in the Samaná province in the Dominican Republic come into our care. Without adequate financial support or a parent’s guidance and love, these children can go down dark paths. For our child highlight: Daniela and her siblings, such is the case.

Meet Our Child Highlight: Daniela

Meet 14-year old Daniela. Daniela came to the Children’s Home at age seven after her mother passed away from a tragic illness. Her elderly father is sick and unable to financially support Daniela and her siblings. The situation forced Daniela’s aunt to separate her and her four other siblings to make their care possible. Now, Daniela and her siblings are with Advocates of Love.

Daniela is a sweet, loving girl with a bright mind. In her spare time, Daniela enjoys fashion, reading, and spending time with friends and her sister, Daneisy. We ask for continued prayers and support for Daniela to thrive and grow into her full potential.

Continuing Education

For many children growing up in unstable situations, making positive progress can be difficult. Daniela is an ambitious young girl who hasn’t let her unfortunate situation hold her back.

Daniela attended pre-nursing classes through our continuing education program and has achieved excellent accomplishments in school. In February, she graduated from our program with a certification in pre-nursing.

Daniela plans to further her education by taking advanced classes. She hopes to become a registered nurse in the future.
