Widely celebrated among Latinos, the quinceañera marks an important milestone in a girl’s life. Part birthday party, part rite of passage, it symbolizes a girl’s entrance into womanhood when turning 15, traditionally showcasing her purity and readiness for marriage.

We have established two churches that are designed explicitly for children ages 2 -17 years of age. The goal of these Churches is to provide spiritual nourishment for the children we serve. The churches are safe and open landmarks within the communities and serve.
They are a positive conduit for the continual integration of faith-based living that the children we serve and people from within the community where they are located, can experience.
We are grateful for the generous support we’ve received so far. We are the only resource in the entire region for neglected and orphan children.
There are 24 children living in our children’s home that need support.
Let’s support the children of Samaná!
Community-Based Care is a program offered to children who can safely live with a CONANI-approved family member. These children have a qualified caretaker, but are grossly lacking in physical, medical and/or educational care. Clothing, meals, medical, and/or educational sponsorship is their critical need, and is met through this program. The Community-Based Care Program is a solution that defers orphan status and provides children with the same standard of care as offered in the Children’s Home, but from a suitable family member that lives in the community.
The US-based organization, Advocates of Love is an approved 501c3. Under the guidance of its Board of Directors, Advocates of Love is responsible for raising mission awareness, fundraising, and operational management of the non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Dominican Republic. Advocates of Love has final approval over all activities required to operate the Children’s Home.
The Dominican Republic-based organization, Fundacion Defensores De Amor, is an approved NGO. The NGO, in partnership with local churches, is accountable for the daily operations and responsibilities of the Children’s Home, the community-based care program, and children’s churches.
