Frelina was orphaned by abandonment. Her parents left her and her sister and moved to Santo Domingo in search of work and never returned. As part of our community care, Frelina receives all of the same resources as the children in the home, but she resides in her grandmother’s home under her supervision. She lives with her sister and 4 cousins who are also a part of our community care and are orphaned. This allows her the opportunity to keep what family bonds are still available, but to also receive the adequate care she needs.
Frelina is intelligent, humble and hard-working. She is very determined in her school work as she dreams about becoming a math teacher. Math is her favorite subject in school. She is also passionate about art and loves creating pictures and drawings.
