Marcos was orphaned by abandonment and neglect. Without adequate food and provisions, Marcos left home at the age of 10. He lived on the streets of Las Terrenas and provided for himself by begging tourists and shoe shining. At night, Marcos slept in a store dumpster as he said he felt it provided him the most protection. Marcos was 12 years old when the Dominican government agency, Conani, placed him with us. In such a short time, Marcos has already learned to read and write. His favorite sport is baseball and he would like to be an accountant or in business administration when he grows up. His favorite color is red and he loves to eat meat.
He is most known for his faith in Christ and his willingness to pray fervently in any situation.
