Yuliel

Yuliel came to us at the end of September 2023, he is 8 years old. Yuliel is still adjusting to his new home, but we are confident he will thrive. Yuliel is a loving little boy that, although he is a little bit shy, always greets you with a big hug and a smile.  He always has something to enthusiastically tell you as soon as he sees you. Yuliel enjoys building things with Legos or magnetic blocks. He also likes arts and crafts. He likes to play with the other young boys at the children's home. He had never been to church before he came, and it is great to see him starting to participate in church.

Franyeli

At age 7, Franyeli was accepted into our community care program. His parents died when he was 5. He has 2 brothers and a sister. Franyeli’s grandmother approached the children’s home for placement of him and his 3 siblings. When we began providing care for Franyeli and his siblings, we found that they were sleeping on a blanket on concrete floors. Today he has a bed with adequate food and clothing. Franyeli does have some health issues that make him susceptible to getting sick and recently had a surgery on his foot to help correct a birth defect. He is very loving, humble and mellow.  Despite his physical limitations, he never passes up an opportunity to join in on the fun.  He likes to help others, swim, run and paint, but his favorite activity is eating.  He enjoys all kinds of food and is always willing to try something new and share it with others.

Jody

At age 6, Jody was accepted into our community care program. Jody’s parents died when she was 4 years old. She has 3 brothers. Her grandmother approached the children’s home for placement of her and her 3 siblings. When we began providing care for Jody, she was very malnourished and in need of an important surgery. Jody is a very happy and upbeat girl who loves playing with dolls, painting and singing.  She wants to become a doctor to help those in need.  She enjoys being the only girl in her sibling group of four and has a great bond with her female cousins.

Adrian

Adrian and his older brother Johan came to the children's home in 2019. Once he warms up to you, Adrian is quick to offer love, hugs, and endless laughs. He is so silly and loves to run around with the other children. He enjoys baseball, playing with cars, eating, and playing jokes on people! He’s such a loveable boy and we’re so blessed to care for him and his brother.

Daneisy

Daneisy was placed in the children’s home at age 6 in 2015. Daneisy has 4 other siblings, of which she is the youngest. She is as spunky as they come as well as witty and energetic.  She loves to laugh and make others laugh as well.  She has a love for fashion and enjoys being a fashionista.  Her favorite activity is going to the beach.  She enjoys swimming, looking for crabs and helping clean up the beaches near where she lives.

Daniela

Daniela was placed in the children’s home at age 7 in 2015. Daniela has 4 other siblings. Daniela loves to smile and shares a love for fashion with her younger sister, Daneisy.  She enjoys reading and going to school with her friends. She recently placed 5th place in her school’s reading contest.  Daniela is a vibrant girl who is very affectionate and loving.

Derling

Derling was placed in our children’s home at the age of 3 in 2013. Since being placed in our care, Derling has become an exuberant boy.  He is intelligent and even skipped a school grade this year.  He loves to eat and his favorite food is “everything.”  He is a loyal, faithful friend and a spiritual leader to his peers.

Samuel

Samuel was placed in our care when he was 11 in 2022. Samuel is a caring and loving boy. He is helpful and enjoys helping others. He craves attention, hugs and affection. He is curious, playful and outgoing. You will instantly feel at ease with him as everyone is a friend to him.

Orlando

At age 4, Orlando was placed in the children’s home in 2015. He transitioned very well into our home. Orlando is a well-mannered boy with a contagious smile.  He has a best friend who is constantly by his side.  He is thriving emotionally, physically and spiritually.  He enjoys hugs and affection from those around him.

Carlos

Carlos was placed in the children’s home at age 8 in 2015. Carlos is a born hugger and loves to give and receive affection.  He is amiable, warm and friendly.  He shows great enthusiasm in the activities he enjoys.  Science experiments are his favorite. He like to play basketball and baseball.  He loves to draw and give his drawings away to others.  He has a love for animals and enjoys being around them.

Felipe

Felipe was placed in the children’s home at age 8 in 2017. Felipe has an engaging personality, and you can always tell when he enters a room.  He enjoys baseball and basketball and is always on the move.  He loves to play with his friends and be outside.  He is creative and inventive when it comes to creating art.

Maricela

Maricela was placed in our care at age 9 in 2022. Maricela is a little ball of energy, vivacious and charismatic.  She has never met a stranger.  She enjoys being read to, taking trips, playing with dolls and lots of affection.  She enjoys helping with chores and assisting with meal preparation.

Angel Miguel

Angel Miguel was placed in our care at age 11 in 2022. He is a sweet, easy-going, amiable and gregarious boy.  He enjoys playing basketball and baseball with his friends. He enjoys activities that allow him artistic expression, creating art and doing crafts.  He likes playing marbles with his friends and usually carries them in his pocket for a quick game. Worship music gets him moving and excited.

Robelis

Robelis and his older sister Leomairy were placed in our care when Robelis was 7 in 2018. He is a very active boy. He enjoys playing, running, swimming and biking.  He is the first one in his seat for planned activities.  He likes to draw, color and create.  He enjoys being read to.  He enjoys conversation and loves talking to everyone. He has a lively, witty personality. He is very entertaining to those around him.

Leomairis

Leomairy was placed along with her younger brother Robelis in our care when she was 10 in 2018. Leomairy is a sweet and loving girl. She enjoys the art of conversation and has many stories to share with others.  She enjoys trips to the beach, playing with dolls and doing special craft projects.  She likes to help and even volunteers to do household chores.  Her favorite chore is helping with breakfast preparations on the weekends.

Johan

Johan and his brother Adrian were brought to the children’s home when Johan was age 5 in 2019. Johan has such a sweet disposition and is always willing to share his bright smile and a warm hug. He loves to play with his brother and the house dad’s puppy. He is exceptionally good at baseball even though he’s so small. He loves to run and dance and can climb a tree quicker than you can blink!

Keiry

The little diva of the house. She is very energetic, and her personality always attracts attention. She is very brave and loving. She loves hugs. She dreams of becoming a nurse so she can help needy children and all the teddy bears in the world. Keiry came to us just before her 7th birthday in 2021. She’s adjusted well. We can tell she is smart and a good student. She knows how to read and write which is pretty amazing for her age and background. Keiry is a sweet, lively, happy, and energetic girl. We thank God for giving her shelter in a safe and nurturing home to help her start the healing process.

Sebastian was placed in our care when he was age 7 in 2022. Sebastian is very orderly and calm. He loves fruits and his favorites are mango and apple. He is very diligent in school and likes to read and draw. He dreams of traveling and wants to be an engineer.

Darlenys

Darlenys was placed at our children's home when she was age 11 in 2022. She is a very loving and calm girl. She loves dolls and really enjoys socializing. She is always willing to help others. Her greatest wish is to be able to go to college and become an excellent pediatrician. The transformation has been a miracle! What a blessing to see her whole face light up and see the hope that God has restored in her life.

Jeffrey

At age 3, Jeffrey was accepted into our community care program. His mother is deaf, mute and mentally disabled. She is unable to provide the care he needs. Jeffrey’s grandmother approached the children’s home for placement of 4 of the 7 children she was caring for. At that time, Jeffrey was malnourished and lacked clothing. As part of our community care program, Jeffrey was able to stay living with his grandmother and now receives food, clothing, tutoring, and schooling. Jeffrey continues to grow and is now a healthy weight with all his essential needs being met.  He is an active boy and enjoys playing sports, especially soccer. He enjoys the company of his cousins and usually has a big smile on his face.

Junior

Junior came to the children’s home in 2021 at age 9. Junior is now 13 years old and is a sweet and loving boy, he just exudes joy! He is on grade-level at school, with some help from tutors at the home. Junior loves being at the children’s home, he enjoys the feeling of security and love he receives. After such a hard start to life, we feel so hopeful for his future!

Samuel

Samuel has been in our community care program since birth. He has a loving extended family that provides for his emotional needs. He is cared for by his grandparents, both of which are dealing with significant health and financial issues. Samuel’s mother has been mentally incapacitated since birth and is unable to care for him. He is a sweet, warm and friendly boy.  He enjoys playing with his friends and having fun.  He likes trucks, cars, coloring and blowing bubbles.

Fernando

Fernando was born to a community care program member who is 16 years old and comes from an impoverished family. He resides with his disabled grandfather, mother and her two siblings. His grandfather, a disabled fisherman, has limitations in his ability to walk, get around, and therefore provide for the family.  We continue to partner with this family to provide essential needs for Fernando and his family and educational opportunities for his mother and her two siblings.
